Social Media Manager

We want an innovative Social Media Manager to join an expanding in-house marketing department for a large FTSE 250 company. We're forward-thinking and we want to make the most of new technologies.

Job responsibilities

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Flickr etc), and how they can be deployed in different scenarios
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering strategic social media campaigns
  • Creative, diplomatic, cool under pressure and fantastic interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management or organisational skills
  • Knowledge of financial services, especially trading, or the ability to learn quickly
  • Good knowledge of leading social media packages, such as Radian 6
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format to board level, and build and maintain relationships

Challenges

The Social Media Manager will work with senior members of the marketing team and wider business to oversee the creation, management and development of the company's social media strategy. The role will assist in developing brand awareness, generating inbound traffic and encouraging product adoption.

The position involves creating and delivering engaging and successful social campaigns, as well as evangelising and promoting a social framework through training throughout the company.
